ApplyTexas
To complete an online application, follow the instructions below. Online applications are processed through ApplyTexas (www.applytexas.org).
- Go to www.applytexas.org
- Create an account. When the account creation process is complete a system-generated username is displayed. Be sure to write down this username so you can log in again.
- Look for and click the “My Applications” tab at the top of the window
- Look for Admissions, and click the “New” button (click on the word “New”)
- Click the “Create a new 2 year college admissions application” button
- Select “Western Texas college” from either target college dropdown, then click Continue
- Select a semester from the dropdown, then click Continue
- Select a school (academic or vocational), then click Continue
Note: if you are unsure, select Academic. You will be able to return to this page to make changes if needed
- Select a First Choice major from the dropdown, then click Continue
Note: if you are unsure, select the nearest match
- Complete the Biographical information, then click Save Changes
- Complete the Educational information, then click Save Changes
- Complete the TSI information, then click Save Changes
- Complete the Residency information (3 screens), then click “save page and continue with application”
- Click “Save, Acknowledge Page”
- Check the boxes to verify you have read the information on this page, then click “Save changes to this page”
- Click the “Submit Application Now” button. A confirmation page is shown and a confirmation e-mail is sent to the address you used when setting you your account
- Your online application to Western Texas College is now complete.
In addition to the online application, you must provide a transcript to Western Texas College. An unofficial transcript is acceptable for the initial application, but an official transcript must be received in our Admissions office before grades can be released. Fax transcripts to 325-573-9321.
