The Artist’s Statement:
What Happens When We Look Directly Into What Terrifies Us? Snyder-based artist Skyler Read confronts this question through a haunting body of work dripping with horror and morbid themes.
The Morbid Muse reveals what lurks beneath the surface of the ordinary—distorting our sense of reality, morality, and mortality. Each piece invites viewers to explore the hidden beauty within fear, to linger in its violence, and to uncover the quiet power it holds over the human psyche.
This exhibition dares you to confront the darkness and discover what it exposes about yourself.
The Office Space Art Gallery is located in the WTC Fine Arts Building and open to the public free of charge, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
