The Four Easy Steps to Apply for Financial Aid at WTC

Step 1.  See the WTC catalog for detailed information regarding the various financial aid programs.  Information may also be found online at www.wtc.edu.

Step 2.  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  When this application is processed, the Federal Government determines your eligibility for Federal Programs, including Pell Grants, Federal Work-Study and Loans.  For additional loan information, contact the Financial Aid Office. Most loans are processed through The Department of Education.

You may apply for financial aid by accessing “FAFSA on the Web” (www.fafsa.ed.gov).  WTC Financial Aid Department has the capabilities of assisting you in filing your application electronically, please call for an appointment.  You may also apply for a pin number so that you may sign your application electronically.

You need to only complete one Federal application per academic year.

Step 3.  Complete any other necessary paperwork for scholarship applications or sponsoring agency forms and submit the paperwork to the appropriate agency.

Step 4.   Complete the Western Texas College Financial Aid Application.  Your file will not be completed until we receive all necessary information.  The Financial Aid Office will mail you a letter if additional forms are necessary to complete your file.
